Sending lots of support. Putting ourselves out there in this public forum is a strange thing in the way that it not only invites comment on our lives but also distorts time ... Us humans need time to process and integrate, to write our stories and revise them and sit with them. But the internet world moves quickly and so sometimes there's a disconnect between what's happening in the experience and what's happening in the sharing of that experience. Do what's right for you. Always.

Writing is not easy for me. While I often feel good about a composition once done, the process is a bit of a rollercoaster. As such, my ratio for "time spent composing" vs. the "time required to read" is pretty high. A piece that takes seven minutes to read may have taken me five hours to write. And even then, it would still benefit from another hour or so of editing. However, I often remind myself not to let 'perfect' get in the way of 'good enough.'

As you say, "the internet world moves quickly," so often less thought goes into reactions than the original piece. However, that is the nature of the beast, so I will dig in and work on my house of bricks.

I think that aspect of the process is pretty common among writers. Of course, everyone has their own process. The more we can attempt to enjoy ... or at least be curious about ... our own process, the better it is regardless of what "product" emerges.
